Sunny Day Real Estate Closes Reunion Tour with a Sold Out Show

The Fan Room presents an exclusive clip of Sunny Day Real Estate performing “In Circles” at venue The Stone Pony. The sold out show brings a close to their reunion tour, which started in the fall of 2022.

Widely know as the most important emo band of all time, Sunny Day Real Estate released their debut album Diary 29 years ago on Sub Pop records. They initially broke up just 7 months later in December of 1994. Sunny Day released the untitled LP2 (also known as the Pink Album) in 1995 while broken up, the band have gone on to say that this album was unfinished.

In 1998 they reunited and released How it Feels to be Something On, followed by their fourth and final album The Rising Tide before once again calling it quits. The band reunited for a short run of shows in 2009 and released 1 new song on a split 7″ with Circa Survive, but then went silent again for 12 years.

This most recent reunion tour feels like a rebirth for the band. They seem to be in good spirits during these recent dates and have plans to continue touring together with some festival dates planned for later this year.
