SDCC 2022 Cosplayers: Our Staff Picks

Forget all the panels and celebrities and activations. The best part of any convention is seeing all the meticulously crafted costumes made by fans and cosplayers. Here are some of the best people we ran into during San Diego Comic Con 2022.

Austin Powers Meets Star Wars

It's Star Wars, baby! There's not much better than a coordinated group costume, except a group costume that allows you to attach pink pompoms to a Stormtrooper suit.

Black Widow and Captain America

Talk about a New World Order. We were thrilled to see Natasha alive and well at SDCC, accompanied by Sam Wilson.

Crowley and Aziraphale

My heart is absolutely SOARING, but I'm not the one with wings. This pair from Good Omens stopped me in my tracks - and they were so perfectly in character!

Elliot and E.T.

Reunited after 40 years! We were touched to see this pair stop by at the NECA booth.

Geralt of Rivia and Yennifer of Vengerberg

Spoilers for Season 3 of The Witcher: they're replacing Joey Batey with Greta Gremlin. Not sure how that will go over with the fans.

Batman

This Batman was a big hit at the Ben Cooper booth. Come to think of it...he sounded a bit like Jim Lee...

Renaissance Iron Man and Spider-Man

With great power comes great responsibility, and a ton of petticoats. We loved this take on our favorite Avengers!

SheHulk and Greta Gremlin

It's not easy being green! Jennifer Walters stopped by for some bonding time with Greta at the NECA booth.

Midsommar May Queen

Tourists and lackluster boyfriends beware - the May Queen is here for her crown. This hand-crafted flower suit absolutely blew us away.

Thor and The Mighty Thor

Talk about a power couple. The crowd split like the Red Sea to make room for Thor and Jane.

Batfleck

This Batman costume was so good, it might as well have been Ben Affleck. You could tell me it was and I would believe you.

Eddie Munson One, Eddie Munson Two, and Steve Harrington

It's a Steddie sandwich! (Maybe an open-faced sandwich Steve's on the end.) There were so many amazing versions of our Stranger Things heroes at Comic Con this year.

Eddie and Chrissy

We could have had it all! Here's a glimpse at an alternate future where Eddie and Chrissy made it to Season 5 of Stranger Things. (Chrissy switched from a peace sign to the horns before I took the picture, and I just about cried.)

Argyle the Surfer Boy

Hold onto your butts, brochachos! I actually had to chase Argyle down, because he was the only one I saw all weekend, and I adored him.

Wayne and Garth

Another pair of best friends we were all too happy to see. When I asked if I could take their picture, they replied, "Like, sure!" in perfect unison.

Beth Harmon

You haven't seen dedication until you've seen Beth Harmon from The Queen's Gambit playing chess while walking the exhibitor hall.

Gotham Sirens

No one more graceful than the lovely ladies of Gotham: Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman. Life's more fun when you're a little bad!

Sam from Trick R Treat

When Sam stopped by the Kidrobot booth, we were all a little scared. He was very enthusiastic stabbing the air in our photobooth. That being said, who could pass up a pic when you have matching earrings?
